Have you been following the Senate confirmation hearings? I have, and I'm convinced that something important is happening. Democrats are witnessing their own politicians and the figures they've admired for years struggle to discredit individuals who could have represented the future of their party.
For instance, RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard appeared before committees, while long-time Democratic power figures like Bernie Sanders attempted every tactic to undermine them. The usual strategies are failing, backfiring, and making them seem like irate seniors.
It's irrational for anyone watching the hearings to think that these Democratic senators are genuinely interested in confirming the most qualified individuals for the role. The confirmation hearings are demonstrating that Trump is truly leading a unity movement, bringing together the best of both Republicans and Democrats to advance the country, leaving behind the old guard Democratic politicians and bewildered Democratic voters.
Face it. The Democratic Party is facing significant challenges. Just take a look at the candidates who ran for DNC chair. They all believe Trump won due to racism. The Democratic Party lost support to Trump across all demographics and races except older white people. Those in power within the party have no strategy to counter Trump, as the public perceives Trump's actions as common sense. The Democrats lack fresh ideas for America and it's intriguing that they still don't grasp why Trump was victorious. Additionally, the party that champions diversity elected two straight white men to lead the DNC.
Nicole Shanahan, who was RFK Jr’s running mate, provides this analysis: "I was wrong to ever trust these people (Democrat politicians). And many Democrat voters are opening up to this acceptance that they were wrong, they were misguided, they were lied to, and it's all this bait and switch and that's what the party has been and that's why nobody in their right mind can continue to support that."
The reason most Americans aren't panicking or protesting in the streets over Trump's swift dismantling of the federal government is that they elected him to do exactly that, and he's delivering on it.
